Search Engine Optimisation for a Hospitality Supplier (UK, France, Spain)

SEO work to improve the visibility of a hospitality supplier in a competitive industry, across three languages.

WHAT THEY NEEDED

Forbes Group is a leading hospitality supplier of furniture, fabrics and equipment. While employed by them in marketing I managed their SEO (I continue to work with them as an external contractor).

Forbes Group has an established reputation as a quality supplier of furniture, fabrics and equipment into the hospitality industry.

Their website and SEO is a primary sales channel for Forbes Group, supplemented by other marketing. It is essential that the website continues to be at the forefront of search results as there is high competition for many of the products that they manufacture and distribute.

When I started working with them Forbes Group had a WordPress website built by a local web development company that was underperforming. It had initially been optimised for keywords, but the content was not regularly updated.

WHAT I DID

Tech audit
I performed a technical SEO audit to identify the issues with the WordPress website. While the basic site was functional, I felt it could work harder for Forbes Group.

Custom website
I worked with an external developer to build a custom website for Forbes Group, which has recently been replaced with an updated version. The website handles multiple languages and translations.

Content creation
I designed a new content structure, optimised existing pages, and added new content, using keywords and phrases that were searched for by the target audience (hospitality buyers).

Results
Organic SEO continues to be a major sales channel for Forbes Group. SEO drives relevant traffic to the website that converts well and provides consistent inbound enquiries for the sales team to process.
