Most purchasing decisions are started with a quick ‘Google’ to find a vendor or service provider who can supply what is required by the searcher.
Although Google’s market share has dropped since 2010, it still accounts for around 87% of searches online (Statista). Google handles trillions of searches every year and billions in a day (Internet Live Stats). In the US alone, searches on Google can top 11 billion in one month.

Reaching page one of Google is the pinnacle of achievement for a business and can bring dividends, as most clicks are made within the top 5 results. There is a lot of competition for that number one place and getting there and staying there is not easy.
Whatever organic (unpaid for) ranking you can achieve can be worth its weight in gold.
